Biography
Amanda Groth is the Director of Career Programming at Wayne Law where she works to ensure robust and meaningful career-related programming is available for students. Amanda also serves as a career advisor to students and alumni, providing individualized counseling through all aspects of the legal career exploration process. Additionally, Amanda oversees various programs within the law school including the Wayne Law Student Pro Bono and Public Interest Program, as well as the Wayne Law Gilbert Fellowship Program.
Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations and Policy from Michigan State University, James Madison College, with a minor focus in Women and Gender Studies. She then earned her J.D. from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan. During her time in law school, Amanda was a member of UDM Law’s Moot Court team. She also served as the President of the Detroit Mercy Fellows Student Board from 2018-2020.
Before joining Wayne Law, Amanda was a medical malpractice litigation attorney at a Detroit-based civil justice law firm.
