Janet E. Findlater

• Biography

  Elected to the Order of the Coif following her graduation from law school, Professor Janet Findlater clerked for Michigan Supreme Court Justice Charles Levin. She joined the Wayne Law faculty in 1976 and retired in 2016. She was a member of the Michigan Domestic Violence Prevention and Treatment Board from 1988 to 1998. She was voted by the student body as Outstanding Professor of the Year 18 times, including most recently in 2013.
