Practitioners and academics are invited to contribute to the 2021 edition of the student-managed Wayne State University Journal of Business Law for the 2021-22 academic year.
The Journal of Business Law is seeking innovative and original scholarly articles. The Journal’s past publications had specific themes but this publication will focus on any area of business law that is of current interest.
Topic suggestions based on this theme are:
- Bankruptcy
- Contract Law
- Entity Choice
- Insurance Contract Law
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- Real Property and Zoning
- Regulation and Compliance
- Shareholder Derivative Lawsuits
- Taxation
- Venture Capitalism
The Journal of Business Law will be accepting articles of varying lengths for its 2020 publication. There will be no minimum or maximum length for the articles that will be published.
Articles should contain relevant sources. Furthermore, any footnotes that are included should conform with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed. 2015).
If your article is selected, you will be sent Licensing and Publication Agreement. This agreement sets forth the Journal of Business Law’s licensing and publication standards and details the tentative publication schedule. Upon receiving your signed agreement, Journal staff will edit your article for style, substance and correct citation format. After all of the articles are completed, they will be published in the 2020 edition, tentatively planned for publication in February 2022.
Articles should be submitted by August 31, 2021. Submission-related inquiries should be directed to journalofbusiness@wayne.edu.
