Biography
Ashley Heidemann joined the Wayne State University Law School faculty in 2024. She is the founder and CEO of JD Advising, Inc., a nationally recognized legal education company that specializes in law school and bar exam preparation. Ashley is licensed to practice law in Michigan and has an extensive background in helping students succeed in their legal studies and on the bar exam.
Since founding JD Advising in 2013, Ashley has been dedicated to creating innovative programs that have helped thousands of students across the country. She teaches bar preparation courses and has developed widely used materials for the Uniform Bar Exam and California Bar Exam. Ashley also leads JD Advising’s Free Law School Prep Course and Scholars Program, both of which have received national recognition for promoting diversity and providing key resources to law students.
Prior to founding JD Advising, Ashley worked as a civil litigation attorney and founded one of Michigan’s most successful bar exam appeals firms. She graduated as the top student in her class from Wayne State University Law School in 2010.
