Biography
Michelle D. Taylor joined Wayne Law in July 2014 as assistant director, scholarship program.
She currently oversees Scholarship and Assessment. With over 15 years of experience in higher education administration at institutions across Michigan, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role. In 2023, she was named a PLEDGE (Professionals in Legal Education Developing Greater Equity) Fellow. As a Fellow, she collaborates with Student Affairs to develop programming and evaluate the experiences of underrepresented law students. This research is grant-funded through AccessLex and the Southern Education Foundation, in collaboration with the Samuel Dewitt Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity, and Justice. She has presented at national conferences focusing on equity in higher education and is currently co-editing a book on the importance of mentorship for minoritized academics and higher education professionals.
