The Office of Career and Professional Development is here to assist you with your job search. Our advisors offer one-on-one counseling sessions, cover letter and resume review, mock interviews and more. The office also offers access to job search tools like Symplicity and Reciprocity, as well as post-graduate fellowship guidance.
As Wayne Law alumni, you have access to Symplicity. Through Symplicity, you'll find employment opportunities from private and public sector employers recruiting Wayne Law alumni. Request Symplicity access by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are seeking employment outside of Michigan, it may be very helpful to access another law school's career resources through Reciprocity. Request Reciprocity access by emailing email@example.com.
Please note: Reciprocity is typically unavailable during the fall recruitment season.
Postgraduate fellowships are one-year or two-year fully funded developmental public interest positions working in or with non-profit or governmental organizations. They can be project-based in which the fellow devises and executes a public interest project with a designated host organization, consist of staff attorney work, require clinical teaching responsibilities, and more. The positions tend to offer salaries and benefits comparable to traditional full-time, long-term public interest staff attorney positions.
Recent Wayne Law graduates have successfully earned the Equal Justice Works, Skadden, and Presidential Management Fellowships. However, a wide variety of fellowships exist. To learn more about fellowships and identify additional postgraduate fellowship opportunities, search the Public Service Jobs Directory and ProFellow. The Office of Career and Professional Development also offers individual counseling and assistance in preparing to apply for postgraduate fellowships, crafting fellowship application materials, and interviewing for fellowship. Contact Diane Fears, firstname.lastname@example.org, to schedule an appointment.
