Resident tuition is available to Michigan residents and those who qualify for the university's Good Neighbor Program, including residents of Ontario, Canada, or the contiguous counties of Ohio (Fulton, Lucas, Ottawa, and Williams counties).

2024 - 2025 academic year estimates - The following are estimated costs for a JD student attending full-time in the fall and winter semesters.   • Housing and food: $15,270 estimated housing and food costs.
  • Books, supplies, & equipment: $2,468 estimated costs.
  • Transportation: $3,676 estimated costs which include parking on campus.
  • Personal Expenses: $3,008 estimated amount a student may choose to spend on personal needs.
  • Loan fee: If you choose to borrow, $200 estimate fee deducted prior to disbursement.
  • Bar Exam Fees: $776 in your final year of law school.
