National Jurist Ranks Wayne Law High with Regard to Starting Salaries
DETROIT (Jan. 25, 2008) – Prospective law students have yet another reason to apply to Wayne State University Law School. In addition to offering students cutting-edge legal theory and real-world practical skills from an internationally recognized faculty, graduates from Wayne Law earn higher starting salaries than graduates from most other law schools, according to a recent feature article in The National Jurist.
The January 2008 publication ranked the starting salaries earned by graduates of 156 law schools from across the country. Wayne Law graduates earned starting salaries higher than graduates from 60 percent of the other law schools.
Among law schools in Michigan, Wayne Law's starting salaries, ranked No. 62 nationally, were second to only the University of Michigan Law School, which was ranked No. 4. Michigan State University College of Law and Thomas Cooley Law School were ranked No. 77 and No. 151 nationally, respectively. According to the publication, Wayne Law graduates earn on average $70,808 immediately after law school.
