Experiential Education Swearing-In Ceremony
DETROIT— On January 11, thirty-five new student attorneys participated in the Wayne State University Law School Experiential Education Swearing-In Ceremony, taking an oath that enables them to serve as student attorneys representing clients as part of the Wayne Law clinical program. These students will provide legal assistance to individuals and organizations in the community. The ceremony, held in Partrich Auditorium, featured a keynote address by Erin Deschamps ‘22, a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable John H. Gillis Jr. at the Michigan Third Circuit Court, Civil Division.
Five Clinics are offered this semester:
- Appeal and Post Conviction Advocacy Clinic
- Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic
- Business and Community Law Clinic
- Community Advocacy Clinic
- Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic
