Wayne State University Law School will host the 3rd Annual Baiardi Endowed Lectureship in Corporate Law

Detroit, MI - Wayne State University Law School will host the 3rd Annual Baiardi Endowed Lectureship in Corporate Law on Wednesday, September 11, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. at Wayne Law’s Partrich Auditorium, 471 W. Palmer Ave. in Detroit. 

This year, Cathy Hwang, professor of law at the University of Virginia, will be presenting "Purpose and Nonprofit Enterprise." 

Professor Hwang joined the law faculty of the University of Virginia in 2020, becoming the first Asian woman to hold a tenured position at the Law School. Her articles have been published in journals such as the Columbia Law Review, California Law Review, University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and Cornell Law Review, and five have been voted by business law professors as among the top 10 corporate and securities articles of the year. During the 2022-23 school year, she was the director of the John W. Glynn Jr. Law & Business Program at the Law School.
