Wayne Law’s Employment Rate Reaches Historic High

Wayne State University Law School’s Class of 2024 achieved a 94.9% employment rate for full-time, long-term, bar passage-required or J.D. advantage positions, according to data collected in compliance with American Bar Association protocols. This “gold standard” employment outcome marks a historic high and reflects a 22-percentage point increase over the last seven years.

Wayne Law’s innovative approach to student career success has played a critical role in this upward trend. Recent innovations supporting this achievement include an expansion of the law school’s already-deep employer network into new markets, an individualized approach to student career advising, and a pivot to help graduates prepare for and compete in the new “precruiting” application market, which differs from the traditional on-campus interviewing model.

“Recent employment outcomes were fostered by intentional innovation, collaboration, and commitment to student success,” said Lisa L. Fadler, Senior Assistant Dean of Career Success and Adjunct Professor of Law. “We are proud to see our graduates making an impact across the legal market and are grateful to our faculty, staff, alumni, and employer partners who remain committed to our students throughout their legal education and beyond.”
