Wayne law graduates in high demand

DETROIT – 93.6% of Wayne State University Law School 2021 graduates were placed in long-term, full-time bar passage required or J.D. advantage positions. 

The Wayne Law class of 2021 had a 7.7% increase in the employment rate compared to the Wayne Law class of 2020 which had an employment rate of 85.9%. 

For 2021 graduates, Wayne Law was in the top 20 of all U.S. law schools in employment outcomes.* 

According to the American Bar Association, “For the class of 2021, the aggregated school data shows that 29,624 or 83% of the 2021 graduates of the 196 law schools enrolling students and approved by the ABA to offer the J.D. degree were employed in full-time, long-term Bar Passage Required or J.D. Advantage jobs roughly 10 months after graduation.”

*The analysis is based on the number of graduates from each ABA accredited law school working in full-time, long-term jobs for which bar admission is required or a J.D. is an advantage divided by the total number of graduates from each school.
