Meet our student ambassadors

  • Lauren Ayoub

    Residence: Detroit

    Undergraduate education: Bachelor’s in political science and minor in women's studies from the University of Michigan

    Wayne Law class: 2021

    Law School Activities/organizations: President of the Entrepreneurship and Business Law Society, Student Board of Governors American Bar Association representative, Moot Court and Wayne Law admissions ambassador

    Work experience: Judicial intern for the Hon. Judge Avern Cohn (Eastern District of Michigan); in-house counsel intern at Benore Logistics Systems, Inc.

    Future Plans: Practicing business and transactional law, with a focus in health care, insurance or intellectual property law

  • Jessica Biondo

    Residence: Ann Arbor

    Undergraduate education: Bachelor’s in radiologic technology from Wayne State University

    Wayne Law class: 2021

    Law School activities/organizations: President of the Health Law Society, co-president of the Italian-American Law Student Association, Mock Trial member and Wayne Law admissions ambassador

    Work experience: Legal extern for Michigan Department of Attorney General, Health Care Fraud Division; Wayne Law's Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic; previously worked at Henry Ford Health Systems in a variety of departments, including the ER, interventional radiology and revenue cycle.

    Future plans: To practice in the area of some type of healthcare law. My specific interest includes any issues related to health insurance, compliance counseling, data and records management, EMR (electronic medical record) systems, healthcare fraud, HIT (health information technology), and HIPAA privacy and security.

  • Rejanae Brooks

    Residence: Southfield

    Undergraduate education: Bachelor's in criminal justice with a minor in political science from Howard University

    Law School activities/organizations: President of the Criminal Law Society, social chair of the Black Law Students Association and Wayne Law admissions ambassador

    Work experience: Law clerk at DTE Energy

    Future plans: Working towards criminal justice reform, decreasing wrongful convictions, implementing juvenile justice and prison fellowship

    Residence: Detroit

    Undergraduate education: Bachelor’s in psychology from Wayne State University

    Work experience: Intern for Hon. Edward Ewell in the Third Circuit Court

    Future plans: To do contract negotiation and business law

    Future plans: Clerk for a federal judge and then start as associate in law firm

    Future plans: Become a commercial real estate litigator for a large firm in Michigan

  • Morgan Jones

    Residence: Detroit, originally from Baltimore, MD

    Undergraduate education: Bachelor’s in environmental science from Delaware State University

    Work experience: Summer associate at Honigman LLP; law clerk at the Eastern District of Michigan

    Future plans: Pursuing litigation, specifically in criminal law, family law and juvenile law

    Work experience: Law clerk at Johnston, Sztykiel and Hunt, PC; previously worked in a personal injury law firm, chiropractic office and steel fabrication and erection shop

    Future plans: To work for a law firm in metro Detroit that challenges my knowledge and helps me grow into a well-rounded lawyer

    Work experience: Lark clerk at Cieslak Law; student attorney at the William Booth Legal Aid Clinic for the Salvation Army; virtual intern with IMPACT Strategies, a political firm founded by Angela Rye

    Future plans: My future plans consist of me giving legal counsel to the wrongfully convicted. I would also like to be involved in the political process. I have yet to determine to what extent, but it is definitely on my agenda as a future endeavor.

    Work experience: Legal assistant for Phoenix Legal; legal extern for the U.S. National Labor Relations Board; judicial clerk for the Hon. Judge Friedman; legal Intern for Detroit Public Schools Community District; and former middle school English and social studies teacher

    Future plans: Working as a civil and human rights attorney, focusing on education policy, legislation and access to justice
