Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation Awards for Outstanding Women Law Students - Oct. 15 deadline
Candidates for these scholarships must demonstrate leadership capabilities in advancing the position of women in society, including service in social justice, equality, family law, child advocacy, domestic violence or work on behalf of underserved areas or populations.

Air and Waste Management Association, East Michigan Chapter – March 30, 2018 deadline
Two $2,250 Scholarships will be awarded to students studying for careers that advance environmental sustainability, including environmental law.
Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. Law School Diversity Scholarship – April 1, 2018 deadline
This $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student who is currently attending an accredited law school and who is either a member of an ethical or racial minority or demonstrates commitment to issues of diversity within their academic career.
Goodman Acker Law School Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student who has achieved high academic achievement, submitted an original essay and is attending or has been accepted to an accredited law school in the United States. This includes students enrolled at an accredited four-year university who have been accepted to a law school. (Copy of acceptance letter will have to be included in application submission).
Brown PC National Tax Law and National Business Law Scholarships
Brown PC, a Texas law firm, is accepting applications for the firm's National Tax Law and National Business Law Scholarships. Both awards provide a $500 stipend to a second- or third-year U.S. law student with a demonstrated interest in tax or business law.
The Johnston Law Firm LSAT Prep Course Scholarship
The LSAT Prep Course Scholarship by The Johnston Law Firm, LLC will cover the cost of an LSAT prep course or $1,000, whichever is less, for a full-time college student intending to enroll in law school.
Kalamazoo Community Foundation Scholarships – Various deadlines
Various scholarships are available through the Kalamazoo Community Foundation.
Voelker Foundation Native American Scholarships – Rolling deadline
This scholarship is awarded to an enrolled member of a federally recognized Michigan or Wisconsin tribe who plans to use legal education to benefit Native American people.
Recipients for this scholarship are selected on the basis of academic achievement, leadership ability, commitment to community service and the desire to practice law in the western district of Michigan.
Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
Applicants for this fellowship must be New Americans (naturalized citizens, green card holders or DACA recipients if born abroad; children of naturalized citizens if born in the United States) who are no more than 30 years old as of the application deadline. Incoming, first- and second-year law students may apply; selection criteria emphasize creativity, originality, initiative and sustained accomplishment. The program values a commitment to the constitution and the bill of rights.
Donald W. Banner Diversity Scholarship for Law Students
Sponsored by Banner & Witcoff, this scholarship is open to all law students who are members of a minority group, including any group traditionally underrepresented in the field of intellectual property law.
Mexican American Legal Defense & Educational Fund Scholarships
These scholarships are for current law school students who plan to advance the civil rights of the Latino community in the United States through the legal profession.
Otto Stanfield Law Scholarship for Unitarian Universalist Students
This scholarship is available to Unitarian Universalist students entering or attending law school at the graduate level.
Community Foundation of Monroe County scholarships
More than three dozen scholarships are available through the Community Foundation of Monroe County.
American Bar Association Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund
This fund grants 20 incoming diverse law students with $15,000 of financial assistance over the course of their three years in law school.
American Intellectual Property Law Education Foundation Scholarships
The American Intellectual Property Law Education Foundation awards scholarships of $10,000 or more to minority law students.
Macomb County Bar Foundation Scholarships
Three different scholarships are awarded annual to second- and third-year law students.
W. L. Mackenzie King Memorial Scholarships
Two scholarships are available to graduates of Canadian universities: the Open Scholarship for students in any discipline and the Travelling Scholarship for those studying international or industrial relations.
Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship
This scholarship was established to provide scholarships to graduates of Berks County, Pa., high schools who are entering their second year at an accredited law school.
Rhode Island Bar Foundation Thomas F. Black Jr. Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is a one year, non-renewable award for Rhode Island residents who will be entering their first year of law school full time in September 2015.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund General College Scholarships
These scholarships are designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage with college expenses. Award amounts generally range from $500 to $5,000.
National Federation of the Blind Scholarship Program
The National Federation of the Blind annually offers blind college students the opportunity to win one of thirty merit-based scholarships worth $3,000 to $12,000.
Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan
Various scholarships are available through the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan.
Warner Norcross & Judd Minority Scholarship Program
This program awards $5,000 to a law school student each year.
Zelle Hofmann Diversity in Law Scholarship
This $30,000 scholarship is for law students who belong to a population or group whose background and perspectives are historically underrepresented in the private practice of law or demonstrate a long-standing commitment to diversity that will be furthered by the scholarship.
NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund Earl Warren Scholarship
These scholarships are awarded to law school applicants with exceptional academic records who are actively engaged with civil rights and public interest work.
Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan
Various scholarships are available through the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan.
Michigan Auto Law Diversity Scholarship
This scholarship program is open to first- or second-year students as well as students entering law school in the fall of 2015. Applicants must belong to an ethnic or racial minority or demonstrate a defined commitment to issues of diversity within the legal profession.
Forum Foundation GLBT Leadership Scholarships
The Forum Foundation awards the LaTosch/Stahl Scholarship, in memory of baby Conner Andrew LaTosch and foundation benefactor Ed Stahl, as well as the Holmberg/Horne Scholarship, named for humanitarian and teacher Lee Holmberg and long-time foundation member Ernie Horne, to encourage more leaders in the GLBT community.
