Krystal Gardner is Wayne Law’s assistant dean for career and professional development. Gardner manages the day-to-day operations of the office, develops policies and procedures and is responsible for strategic planning. She also counsels students and alumni, and engages in employer outreach. Before joining Wayne Law, Gardner practiced law for nearly ten years. She was a trial attorney at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Detroit. Gardner was also associate attorney at Lewis & Munday P.C. where she represented corporate and municipal clients in employment discrimination cases. She began her legal career as an assistant prosecuting attorney at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
Gardner earned her J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law. Before attending law school, she was a reporter for The Wall Street Journal covering the U.S. and Japanese automotive industries.
