National Lawyers Guild chapter to honor alumnus, 2 students

A Wayne State University Law School alumnus and two students will be honored Saturday, Jan. 25, by the Detroit and Michigan Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.

Honoree Chokwe Lumumba, a longtime civil rights activist and a 1975 alumnus who was sworn in as mayor of Jackson, Miss., in July, also will serve as honorary host of the chapter's annual dinner.

Also being honored as "Outstanding Law Students of the Year" are Eliza Facio, a third-year student at Wayne Law, and Nicholas Klaus, a second-year student at Wayne Law.
