Wayne Law, TechTown joining forces to offer free legal office hours

DETROIT - The Business and Community Law Clinic at Wayne State University Law School and TechTown Detroit are joining forces to offer free neighborhood legal office hours to qualifying community-based businesses, social enterprises and non-profit organizations who cannot afford an attorney.

The free neighborhood legal office hours include a 30-minute consultation with a supervised, upper-level student attorney who can provide basic legal information and referrals in the area of transactional law. During office hours, the Wayne Law Business and Community Law Clinic will not provide legal advice or counsel. Interested parties can sign up and fill out the required application at go.wayne.edu/bclcevents. The application must be filled out no later than 48 hours after scheduling the appointment or it may be subject to cancellation.
