Wayne Law students win Macomb County Bar Foundation scholarships

Three Wayne Law students have been awarded scholarships from the Macomb County Bar Foundation.

Massimo Badalamenti of Clinton Township, was awarded the Philip F. Greco Memorial Scholarship; Susan Gleich of SterlingMassimo Badalamenti Heights, was awarded the Kimberly M. Cahill Leadership Memorial Scholarship; and Ashley Monticciolo of Macomb, was awarded the Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustees Law School Scholarship.

Badalamenti, a rising second-year law student, is a Provost's Scholar and Anthony Maiullo Memorial Scholar, both awarded for academic achievement. Badalamenti earned his bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University.

The Philip F. Greco Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a second or third year law student in good academic standing who has a commitment to serve the Macomb County legal community. It honors the memory of Greco's exemplary commitment to the betterment of the legal and civic communities.

Gleich is a rising third-year student who worked as a judicial intern for Judge Avern Cohn of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She also was a judicial intern for Judge Jennifer Faunce at theSusan Gleich Macomb County Circuit Court. Gleich earned her bachelor's degree from Oakland University, where she graduated magna cum laude.

The Kimberly M. Cahill Leadership Memorial Scholarship recognizes a student with outstanding qualities of leadership and the ability to inspire and effectively lead others to a defined objective. It honors the memory of Cahill, who was a distinguished Macomb County lawyer with exceptional leadership skills that were an inspiration to the countless thousands with whom she interacted.

Monticciolo is a rising third-year student and a member of the Moot Court National Team. She is currently a law clerk at Secrest Wardle. Monticciolo earned her bachelor's degree from Oakland University.

The Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustees Law School Scholarship is awarded to a second or third year law student who demonstrates a commitment to serve or contribute to the Macomb County legalAshley Monticciolo community and high scholastic achievement.
