Wayne Law Review announces editorial board for 2013-14

Wayne State University Law School congratulates the student members of the 2013-2014 Wayne Law Review Editorial Board.

The board: Lynn Bartkowiak, editor-in-chief; Elizabeth Gotham, managing editor; Suzanne Sutherland, production editor; Emily Mayer, executive articles editor; Chelsey Marsh, executive note and comment editor; Stephanie Eisenberg, symposium editor; Angela Strobel, technology editor; Andrew Eurich, voting senior articles editor; and Joshua Noffke, voting note and comment editor.

"The newest members of the Wayne Law Review editorial board reflect the diverse and unique set of skills that our law school students have to offer," said Dean Jocelyn Benson. "They are smart, creative, analytical and thoughtful leaders on campus who will go on to serve as influential leaders of Michigan's legal community. We are proud of all they have accomplished and will continue to accomplish as the next generation of advocates for justice."

The board begins its tenure on May 20, the first Monday following the Wayne Law commencement ceremony.

"I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as editor-in-chief with such a qualified and experienced board," said Bartkowiak. "We are eager to advance the legacy of the Law Review in the coming year. The Review is excited to welcome local and national experts this fall for a symposium discussing the effects of state constitutionalism in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Michigan Constitution. We also look forward to implementing a variety of changes to increase the efficiency of our well-respected publication."

The Wayne Law Review is one of two scholarly journals edited and produced by Wayne Law students. The Law Review contains articles, book reviews, transcripts, notes, and comments by prominent academics, practitioners, and students on timely legal topics. Each year, one of the issues highlights a topic of interest discussed at the Law Review's annual symposium. Another issue features an annual survey of developments in Michigan law, which is widely read by members of the Michigan legal community. Students with high academic standing are invited to join the Wayne Law Review following a writing competition held each summer. Junior and senior members produce the publication under the direction of a senior administrative board. A faculty adviser oversees the general operation.
