DETROIT – Nearly 80 students and 30 employers participated in Wayne State University Law School’s annual Public Interest Career Fair in January.

During the virtual event presented by the Law School’s Office of Career and Professional Development, students met and networked with attorneys representing an array of employers, including nonprofit organizations; federal, state and local government agencies; and Wayne Law’s Experiential Learning program. The virtual format welcomed out-of-state employers that typically wouldn’t be able to participate due to geographical constraints. Students and employers alike applauded the event, and several students have received summer internship offers following the program.

The event was made possible by a new web-based networking and interview software that allowed students to pre-register for small group sessions with individual employers and receive automated schedules and session links.
