Legal Advocates for Survivors Panel: Boots on the Ground
On Wednesday, Oct. 23, Wayne Law’s Office of Career and Professional Development invited experts to participate in the panel “Legal Advocates for Survivors Panel: Boots on the Ground” as part of the Law School’s Pro Bono Week celebration. Guest speakers included Tania Morris Diaz of the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, Elinor Jordan of the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence, and Rebecca Shiemke of the Michigan Advocacy Program Family Law Project. They discussed their work, its rewards and challenges and ways students can get involved.
