Scholarships for LL.M. students

The following scholarship opportunities from Wayne State University’s Graduate School are available to LL.M. students. Application materials should be uploaded by Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015.

To apply, students must submit:

  • An unofficial copy of their graduate transcript
  • A copy of their approved master’s plan of work
  • A personal statement of no more than 500 words describing how they meet the award criteria
  • A letter from the director of graduate studies for their current master’s program addressing the student’s satisfactory progress in their program of study. (For the Completion Scholarship, this letter also must address the likelihood of graduating from the master's program in winter 2016.)

Winter 2016 Completion Scholarship for Master’s Students – Nov. 15 deadline

This scholarship provides tuition assistance to students who are nearing the end of their graduate studies at Wayne State. It covers up to 4 graduate credits of tuition in winter 2016 at the in-state Graduate School rate effective that semester. Deadline for submission is Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015.

Graduate School Retention Scholarship for Master’s Students – Nov. 15 deadline

This scholarship is available to degree-seeking students who demonstrate financial need and have been continuously enrolled in a Wayne State University master’s program. The Retention Scholarship covers up to 4 graduate credits of tuition in winter 2016 at the in-state Graduate School rate effective that semester. Deadline for submission is Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015.
