            <description>was selected as one of two 2013 recipients of the Donald W. Banner Diversity Scholarship for law students given by Banner &amp;amp; Witcoff Ltd., a national intellectual property law firm. The scholarship program will provide N&amp;uacute;&amp;ntilde;ez, a rising second-year Wayne Law student who earned a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences from the University of California-Irvine and a doctorate in neuroscience from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with $5,000 for the upcoming fall semester of law school. The scholarship is open to all law students who are members of a minority group (including any group traditionally underrepresented in the field of intellectual property law) and who meet the following criteria: current enrollment in an American Bar Association-accredited law school in the U.S., commitment to the pursuit of a career in intellectual property law, strong communication and writing skills and demonstrated leadership qualities and community involvement.
