The Public Interest Law Center brings together Wayne Law's public-interest activities, including clinicscourses and externshipsevents and speakersfacultyfellowshipscareer services; and a variety of resources to support and encourage law students and alumni to embrace an ongoing commitment to public service.

A legal education from Wayne Law will provide the necessary skills and knowledge for you to make a difference, as well as the vision, perspective and foresight to significantly impact the community and world around you through the law. It is our goal for all Wayne Law students and graduates to incorporate public service into their careers but, perhaps more important, into their lives.

Lawyers often are looked to as leaders and frequently called upon to serve their communities. At Wayne Law, we define public interest broadly. Whether you choose a career in the public sector, do pro bono work at your law firm or serve on a nonprofit board, the center supports and encourages all to lead to a life of service in the law and beyond.

We are Wayne Law. We are Warriors for Justice.

"Wayne Law is an outstanding law school for individuals seeking experiences in public-interest law. I have participated in a number of public-interest programs here, including a public-interest externship at the Environmental Protection Agency. I have found that public-interest work is truly fulfilling. It provides an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on your community and is a field in which you will never stop learning, reflecting and growing."
