Ilana Ben-Ze’ev

Ms. Ben-Ze’ev has nearly 30 years of experience both in private practice and as in-house corporate counsel. Before coming to the Law School, she was a partner in Strobl & Borda, P.C., company counsel for The Highland Companies, an attorney in the Business Services Group of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, PLC, and a member of Bodman PLC.
At Bodman PLC, Ms. Ben-Ze’ev concentrated her practice in all aspects of real property law, including real estate finance transactions representing numerous state and national lenders in construction and permanent financing. Her practice also involved representation of lenders restructuring troubled loan transactions. She has represented commercial, industrial and residential developers in connection with complex purchase and sale transactions and lease negotiations.
While at Bodman PLC, she designed and implemented Marketing Training Series including panel discussions with successful marketing partners to address areas of focus for younger lawyers and an interview series with senior partners, including follow up assessment. Ms.Ben-Ze’ev implemented an Interactive Diversity Training Program, and facilitated workshops on issues such as Gender Differences and Generational Differences highlighting gender- and age-based differences in behavior and perceptions.
Ms. Ben-Ze’ev is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. She is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
