Ilana Ben-Ze'ev named as Wayne Law's new assistant dean of students

June 06, 2012

DETROIT – Wayne Law is pleased to announce that Ilana Ben-Ze’ev has been named the school’s Assistant Dean of Students.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Emory University School of Law, Ben-Ze’ev has practiced business law more than 29 years. Most recently, she was a senior member at Bodman PLC in Detroit working in the real estate finance and banking groups. She chaired Bodman’s Diversity Committee and implemented an interactive diversity training program to align outcomes with the firm’s mission statement, and facilitated workshops highlighting gender-based differences in behavior and perceptions. She created a marketing training series addressing areas of focus for younger lawyers as well as a program introducing new and existing attorneys to their peers, promoting connections and developing relationships among members of the firm.
“All of these experiences will certainly contribute to her effectiveness in serving our students and enhancing the sense of community at Wayne Law,” says Dean Robert Ackerman. “We are looking forward to the new academic year with Ms. Ben-Ze’ev as an integral member of our team.”
Ben-Ze’ev is a resident of Huntington Woods.
