Wayne Law Alumni Association to host gathering in Old Town, Lansing

September 14, 2011

DETROIT (Sept. 14, 2011) – The Wayne State University Law Alumni Association (LAA) will host a gathering for Lansing-area alumni from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 6 at Sir Pizza, 201 E. Grand River, in the Old Town section of Lansing.

The event will offer Wayne Law alumni the opportunity to meet and network with fellow Wayne Law attorneys, get updates on Wayne Law and give input on future alumni events in mid-Michigan. The atmosphere will be casual with food and cash bar.

LAA President Suzanne Johnson hopes the event will draw a large number of the several hundred Wayne Law alumni in the Greater Lansing area. “We've heard from many alumni that they'd like to come together locally to share expertise, interests and memories, and from others who have expressed curiosity about the Wayne Law’s present pursuits,” Johnson said. “Building on a successful event we held in Lansing last year, we hope to create a strong network of mid-Michigan alumni that will host more activities going forward."

To RSVP for this event, email khartnegrich@gmail.com. For more information, call the Wayne Law Office of Alumni Relations Office at 313-577-6199.

The Wayne State University Law Alumni Association is an independent organization of law alumni, and a sub-unit of the Wayne State University Alumni Association. Prominent and professionally active alumni serve on the LAA Board of Directors and as officers who govern the association. Alumni participate in and plan a number of events each year, as well as provide special assistance to the Wayne Law community as advocates, mentors and fundraisers.
