Wayne Law Honors Convocation to Celebrate Student Success

October 20, 2008

DETROIT (Oct. 20, 2008) - Wayne State University Law School will once again celebrate student success at its annual Honors Convocation Ceremony at 4 p.m. in the Wayne State University Community Arts Auditorium on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008.

More than 75 scholarships and awards will be given to students. Eligibility for the awards is determined by academic success, involvement in Law School and community activities, financial need or future career interests.

"On behalf of Wayne Law, I would like to thank our wonderful alumni and friends who help make this ceremony possible," said Wayne Law Dean Robert M. Ackerman. "It is through their efforts that our students are offered this annual recognition and support."
A number of donors will be present to meet and mingle with award recipients. Photos from the event will be available in the near future and a complete list of awards, donors and recipients will be published in the alumni newsletter, Raising the Bar.
