Wayne Law students attend Law Student Division State Bar Annual Meeting

September 29, 2010

PHOTO RELEASE (Sept. 29, 2010) – Members of the Wayne Law Student Board of Governors (SBG) Executive Board, along with representatives of the Wayne Law ABA Student Division and Dicta, headed to Lansing Sept. 24 to attend the annual Law Student Division State Bar Annual Meeting. They were given a tour of the Michigan Supreme Court and visited with Justice Michael F. Cavanagh, who showed the students around his office and meeting rooms. The students also met with representatives from the other schools in the Michigan State Bar to discuss goals and events at a roundtable meeting later that night.

"We had a great time and look forward to increasing the presence of the State Bar at Wayne Law through our representatives hosting table time and appearing at school functions," said SBG President Aisa Villarosa. "Increasing visibility will key students in on the opportunities and rewards of State Bar membership, including access to networking events, scholarships and writing/oral argument competitions."
