Benefit to honor Justice Marilyn Kelly, build public interest law scholarship

A benefit to recognize and continue the public service legacy of former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Kelly, now distinguished jurist in residence at Wayne State University Law School, will take place June 11 at the Roostertail in Detroit.

The event, which includes a strolling supper and cocktails, will help build the Marilyn Kelly Public Interest Endowed Scholarship at the Law School to assist students committed to pursuing public interest legal careers. Michigan Supreme Court Justice Michael Cavanagh will be the featured speaker.

The cost of the evening is $125 per person, which includes a tax-deductible $50 charitable gift.  In addition, four sponsorship levels are available through May 31.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a reception that includes a strolling supper and cocktails. The program will follow at 7:30 p.m. Please register for the event by June 7. Questions? Email lawalumni@wayne.edu.
