Degree Requirements
The Office of the Director of Graduate Studies assists those interested in pursuing an advanced degree in law who have already completed a J.D. degree. The LL.M. Approved Course List sets out the courses required and permitted for each degree program, as well as information about internships available to LL.M. students. Graduate students are responsible for ensuring that they take required courses for their field and that they satisfy all course requirements for the degree. Please note that course offerings may vary from year to year, and certain courses outside the Law School may be taken only when equivalent courses are not offered in the Law School during the academic year in question. Students should consult with a faculty adviser or with the Director of Graduate Studies to determine a reasonable schedule of courses.

Please visit LL.M. Class Schedules for more information on schedules, requirements and registration.

Academic Regulations
Graduate students must satisfy special rules set out in the Master of Laws Academic Regulations. Graduate students should ensure that their course plans satisfy the requirements for certification in the selected field. Contact the Director of Graduate Studies or the Assistant to the Director if you have questions or requests for waivers for specific requirements.
