LL.M. in U.S. law

Today, lawyers in every country are called upon to advise their clients about foreign legal systems, the meaning of international treaties and the customs followed in international business. The masters of law (LL.M.) program in U.S. law at Wayne Law prepares foreign-trained lawyers for this new reality.

This program is designed for students who have earned their first law degree at an institution of higher learning outside the United States. Our program provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental principles of the American legal system and an opportunity to learn concrete legal practice skills (contract drafting, skillfully researching legal data bases in English, client interviewing) in a small class setting and under the supervision of talented faculty. Our program also provides an opportunity to study a wide variety of more specialized topics through the use of elective courses. And students who need to improve their English language skills can take advantage of our English Language Institute.
