Professor Davidoff’s Blog Debuts on the New York Times’ Dealbook Blogs
DETROIT (Jan. 11, 2008) – Wayne State University Law School Professor Steven M. Davidoff’s blog recently debuted on the New York Times as part of its Dealbook blogs. It is called the Deal Professor and will be seen by roughly 100,000 visitors a day who access the Times’ business blogs.

Before joining the Wayne State University Law School faculty in 2006, Professor Davidoff practiced as an attorney for approximately a decade with Shearman & Sterling in their New York and London offices and with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in their London office. There he represented European and U.S. clients in acquisitions and sales of public and private companies, joint ventures and private equity and venture capital investments.
At the Law School, Davidoff teaches a capital markets seminar, corporations, corporate finance, law & economics, mergers & acquisitions and securities regulation. His research focus is on corporate governance, regulation of hedge funds, mergers & acquisitions and securities regulation, with a particular interest in international issues and interdisciplinary research in law and finance. Professor Davidoff graduated from the Columbia University School of Law where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude with honors. He has a master’s degree in finance from the London Business School.
