Neighborhood Advisory Committee Public Meeting

The Neighborhood Advisory Committee was created by Detroit City Council as a condition of the transfer of city-owned land to the Downtown Development Authority for the construction of new Red Wings arena by Illitch Holdings and Olympia Development. There are 16 committee members; 14 were elected by the impacted community and two were appointed by City Council. Part of the committee’s charge is to convey community concerns to the developers and to keep the community informed of both developments in the project and the work of the committee. This meeting is the committee's first public meeting and will be followed by a report on committee activities over the past six months. The meeting will provide an opportunity for public input and questions.
