Wayne Law Alumni Association to Host Alumni/Student Golf Outing and Annual Meeting, Aug. 28

July 2, 2009

DETROIT (July 2, 2009) – Looking for a good reason to spend just a few more hours on the links this summer? Look no further. Grab your clubs and come out to support Wayne State University Law School at the 19th annual Alumni/Student Golf Outing on Aug. 28, 2009.

This year’s Alumni/Student Golf Outing, sponsored by the Wayne Law Alumni Association (LAA) and the Wayne Law Student Board of Governors, is set to take place at the Warren Valley Golf Club. It will begin with a shotgun start at noon, followed by a buffet dinner and the LAA annual meeting at 5 p.m. Tickets for the event are $90 for LAA members, students and faculty, or $110 for non-members. Price per person includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, dinner, a gift bag and, of course, a great time.

“We are excited about the 19th annual Alumni/Student Golf Outing because we will be merging it with our Annual Meeting for the first time,” said LAA President Sean Blume, ’02. “This is a great opportunity to support students and reconnect with Wayne Law alumni and friends. We are limited to 72 golfers, so be sure to get your tickets early as this is guaranteed to be a sellout.”

Should you be unable to play golf but still wish to support Wayne Law and its students, there are plenty of opportunities for you to do so. Hole sponsorships are just $125 per hole, and dinner after the event is $40 per person.

The registration deadline is Aug. 21, 2009. To register for the event, please click here. Please contact Joye Clark at joye.clark@wayne.edu or at (313) 577-2161 with any questions. Visit www.law.wayne.edu/alumni for more information about LAA events and announcements.
