Tanzania Jaysura, '14, had a unique swearing-in to the practice of law. Michigan Supreme Court Justice Bridget Mary McCormack administered the oath to Jaysura via video conference, so Jaysura wouldn't have to leave her military post in California. D'lorah Hughes, Wayne Law's associate director of clinical education, served as Jaysura's sponsor. Jaysura is a judge advocate with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton.

Andreas Seidel, '13, an international attorney affiliated with Butzel Long for the past four years, is now an associate based in the firm's Detroit office. John Wright, '10, joined Rogers Mantese & Associates as an attorney. He is joining the firm after serving as an assistant attorney general in the Michigan Department of Attorney General. While there, he represented state agencies, including the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. Notably, Wright represented the Health Professions Division of the Bureau of Health Care Services in matters involving licensed health care professionals. He also provided legal advice to state boards and commissions that oversee licensing of health care professionals. While in the Attorney General's Office, Wright was awarded the Michigan Attorney General's Staff Excellence in "Opinion Draftsmanship" Award and the Michigan Attorney General's "Rookie of the Year" Award.
