Haroutunian has been a member of the Heritage Foundation for 25 years.

In private practice, Matson also has served as president of the Clinton County Bar Association, president of the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys, and president of the Michigan Municipal League Legal Defense Fund. He also has served as chairman on the public corporations law section and the arts, communications, entertainment and sports law section for the State Bar of Michigan.

  • Wayne BuddWayne Budd, '67, was named as an independent member of the Board of Directors for PBF Energy Inc. Budd has over 40 years of legal experience in the public and private sectors, and since 2004 is a senior counsel of Goodwin Procter LLP. Prior to that, he served as a senior executive vice president and general counsel and a director of John Hancock Financial Services Inc. from 2000 to 2004. Budd also served on the U.S. Sentencing Commission from 1994 to 1997, which he was appointed to by President Bill Clinton. From 1989 to 1992, he was the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. Budd previously served as a director of Tosco Corp. and Premcor Inc. and currently serves as a director at McKesson Corp. He is the past chairman of the National Board of the American Automobile Association and currently serves as a director of the American Automobile Association of Southern New England.

  • Fred MesterFred Mester, '67, addressed the Inter-American Committee, the judicial arm of the Organization of American States, in Washington, D.C., on March 25, 2014, on the issue of mandatory life sentences without parole for juveniles in light of the 2012 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Miller v. Alabama. Mester, with several other Michigan judges and attorneys, was involved with a petition drive advocating for the court's decision to be retroactive for minors sentenced to life without parole in Michigan. Mester, a retired Oakland County Circuit judge, works with various city administrations on community issues today.

  • Jack Wheatley, '67, was reappointed by Gov. Rick Snyder to the Michigan Compensation Appellate Commission, which reviews appeals decisions in cases involving unemployment insurance benefits and workers' compensation.  Wheatley served as a labor law attorney with Lacey & Jones LLP, and also worked as a special assistant to the attorney general representing the state in workers' compensation second injury fund cases and served as director of the Michigan Unemployment Agency and director of the Bureau of Workers' Disability Compensation.

Carley and his wife Nancy divide their time between Boca Grande and Bloomfield Hills, where he owns The Heathers Club. One highlight of the report is Carley's passion for his hometown of Detroit, where he serves as chairman of Detroit Neighborhood Housing Services Inc. and as vice president of the Coleman A. Young Foundation, which provides college scholarships to urban youth from Detroit. Read the story.

An attorney since 1962, Viviano has served as the assistant Macomb County prosecuting attorney, director of the Organized Crime Division, Macomb County Probate judge, and as the Macomb County Circuit Court judge since 2003. He and his wife Alice Marie have seven children.

Driker is a founding member of BSD&D who specializes in complex business and antitrust litigation and in corporate and business counseling. He was appointed as a special mediator in the city of Detroit bankruptcy and is also a member of the Wayne State University Board of Governors.
