  • Lee Hornberger, LL.M.Lee Hornberger, LL.M., '82, was voted in as chair-elect of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Hornberger, an arbitrator and mediator in Traverse City, earned his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Michigan.

  • Alice JenningsAlice Jennings, '78, received the Peter Hammer Award from the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee Michigan Regional Office for her decades of work in civil rights. Jennings, founder of Edwards & Jennings PC, which specializes in civil rights and employment law, earned her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University. The award is named for Professor Peter Hammer, director of Wayne Law's Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights.

She also was recognized as a 2016 Michigan Super Lawyer in the practice area of employment litigation defense. Nemeth is founder of Nemeth Law in Detroit. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.

  • Neil RockindNeil Rockind, '93, founder of criminal defense firm Rockind Law in Bloomfield Hills, was named a Michigan Super Lawyer in the practice area of criminal defense. This is Rockind's eighth consecutive year on the list. He also was named one of the Top 100 Attorneys in Michigan and one of the Top 50 Consumer Attorneys in Michigan based on nominations and the research and blue ribbon review process conducted by Michigan Super Lawyers. Rockind earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.

  • Kathy Browne, '87, and Dean Jabara are expanding their beautification/conservation work in Canton through a new residential conservation project to help families beautify their homes economically. Browne is the recipient of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution national conservation medal and the Canton Council for Community Excellence's highest award for landscape design excellence. Browne also has three plaques at the Canton Rotary Park honoring several organizations who have recognized her achievements. Browne and Jabara also beautify and educate in the downtown Plymouth area.
