Wayne State University Law School has been a member in good standing of the American Bar Association since 1936 and of the American Association of Law Schools since 1946.

The Law School’s chapter of the Order of the Coif, the national honor society dedicated to the highest standards of legal scholarship, was chartered in 1984.
